As Human Resource Director, my role is to oversee the people side of the organization, making sure staff are hired, trained, and supported, and that we’re following all compliance standards. My focus is reducing turnover, handling employee issues fairly, and helping create a positive, stable work environment so both staff and the people we serve can succeed.
I would like to help reduce the Lack of respect and isolation that people with disabilities often experience. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and I think small changes in how we communicate and interact can make a big difference.
Over 30 years’ experience in HR and office Management. Previous to my role at In-Pact, I spent 16 years as an HR/Safety Compliance Director in the construction field. I bring that hands-on mindset and strong work ethic into what I do here at In-Pact. Switching fields has been a big, but meaningful transition.
Working at In-Pact keeps me challenged every day. I like staying busy and being integral part of an organization that actually makes a difference.
I was raised in Crown Point, I moved to Illinois for several years to pursue my career. A few years ago, my family and a wonderful group of friends convinced me to move back to Crown Point. I found my forever home and am back here for good.
At the end of the day, I try to work hard, treat people right, and stay true to what matters to me. I don’t think it takes anything big to make an impact, just being honest and treating people with kindness goes a long way.
I have many passions…. Art, cooking, gardening, home projects and spending time being “Grams” to my 7 grandchildren – teaching them to cook and create. I cater gluten free dinners, create artwork for my home and fill orders for an all-natural product line that I created with the help of my oldest daughter. Yep… I like to stay busy.
