As the Executive Director, I am tasked with overseeing the day-to-day activities, administration, programs, and the strategic plan of the organization. I work closely with our Board of Directors, Executive Team, and staff to establish goals, objectives and operational plans that will have a positive impact on the organization’s future. The most important aspect of my position is advocating for all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
I would like for all people with disabilities to be accepted into their communities. It is important that all people are accepted for who they are and appreciated for the unique gifts they have to offer.
Prior to joining the In-Pact team, I was the executive vice president of an event photography studio for over 20 years. I held a myriad of positions at my last company including Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Client Engagement and Director of Photography and Video where I was responsible for strategic planning, new business development, B2B retention and networking.
My absolute favorite part of my jobs is getting to know all the amazing individuals that utilize our services. I also truly love networking and organizing events to help the organization.
I was born and raised in Crown Point, as was my husband. We have three children and one fur baby. My family has been involved with In-Pact for years. I am honored to have the position my father-in-law, Harold Holmes, held until he passed away. He truly loved the time he spent fundraising and networking with community leaders, benefactors and In-Pact employees and families. He was committed to the success of the organization. I am excited and honored to carry on his legacy!
I believe that honesty, acceptance, determination and dedication are equally important.
If you look at my phone you will see an extensive list of business strategy and self-help books and Podcasts, including my favorite Podcasts: Dare to Lead with Brene’ Brown and UnF*#k Your Brain by Kara Loewentheil.
I gravitate towards paranormal mysteries and have enjoyed reading author Wendy Webb lately.
I am a true believer in living life to the fullest and giving back. I am an active member of Tri Kappa, P.E.O. and donate my time to various charities supporting animals and people with disabilities. I serve on the LOFS Women’s Golf Association board. I love to spend time with my family. I enjoy reading and gaining knowledge and inspiration from others. When I have free time you will find me golfing, sailing, scuba diving, reading and spending time with friends and family.
My favorite quote: “Be the change that you want to see in the world.” ~ Mahatma Ghandi.
