Role Description

At In-Pact I am responsible for visiting homes and day programs of the individuals on my caseload and observe and analyze the environment to determine what may be triggering the individual’s behavior that we are trying to decrease. I am also responsible for conducting Behavior Support Plan trainings and completing Behavior Support Plans and Functional Assessments.

What is something that people with disabilities have to deal with that you want to fix?

People with disabilities often have to deal with being unable to communicate effectively due to having limited verbal skills or being completely nonverbal. I may not be able to fix this entirely but I want to offer support for communication through communication apps and picture schedules etc. to help individuals with disabilities effectively communicate their wants and needs.

What do you like about working at In-Pact?

What I like about working at In-Pact is In-Pact allows me to have the flexibility to see my individuals on a regular basis and allows me to be creative with formulating proactive and reactive interventions to help modify a person’s behavior. I also appreciate that In-Pact cultivates both caring and fun environments for not only the employees but the individuals that we serve.
