I have been involved with In-Pact since my undergraduate years in college, working with the summer day camp program. I have always felt linked to In-Pact as a result of my father’s long history with the organization. After my father’s passing, Herb Grulke approached me with the opportunity to join the Board of Directors. I was thrilled with the opportunity to join as it allowed me a way to continue my involvement with In-Pact and a way to honor my father.
I remain on the Board of Directors for a number of reasons. I feel I can make a significant contribution to the organization given my educational background. Also, I want to assist in goal attainment for In-Pact and I believe my professional experience is impactful. Personally, I feel a connection to my father being a part of the board and I have a sense of responsibility to ensure those in need are able to live their lives to their fullest.
I have been employed by the Office of the Cook County Public Guardian since 1994. I am currently the Assistant Director of Case Management. The Office of the Public Guardian serves as guardian for over four hundred disabled adults who are wards of Cook County, Illinois. I hold a Bachelors and Masters of Arts in Psychology, as well as my Doctorate.
I have been married for 25 years and have three wonderful children.
