Here at In-Pact I develop Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and Functional Assessments (FAs). I train and coach staff, as well as parents and guardians, on these personalized behavior support plans. My favorite part of this job is interacting 1:1 with my clients. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with the individuals I work with, and I think they enjoy spending time with me too!
I would like our individuals to have more of a say and freedom to make their own choices and decisions as often times decisions are made for them.
I have a M.S. in Education with an emphasis in Mental Health and a B.A. in Liberal Arts & Social Sciences with a concentration in Psychology.
Prior to In-Pact I was an Emergency Consultation Coordinator in the ER of what used to be called St. Margaret’s Hospital (now called Franciscan Alliance). Prior to that I worked as a Residential Advisor on an adolescent psychiatric unit at the same hospital. I provided individual and group therapeutic interventions to at-risk adolescents and family members. I was responsible for client needs assessments, treatment plan development, therapy sessions and documentation.
I like working directly with my clients and their families. I enjoy advocating for their specific and personalized wants and needs. I treat everyone differently as every client I have is different. I try not to use a one-size fits all approach.
I grew up in Hammond, IN.
Traveling, hiking and camping. I love to be outdoors, especially when the weather is warm.
One of my favorites is: “Don’t wait for the storm to pass, learn to dance in the rain.”
